Honestly, at first, I was nervous about choosing this light because I was worried about what people would think about us. Like we were trying to be more than we are, "fancy" and whatnot. I mean, we talk about not having much money and here we are sporting a chandelier in our dining room.
But then I thought to myself, who cares what people think? It's true that we don't have much money but we always have enough to get by, and I am tired of hearing the kids call us "poor". I correct them on that all the time, because it's not true for one thing, and I think it does a disservice to those who truly are poor. More on that another time.
Anyway, we call the dining room our "fake fancy" room because it looks fancy and yet, it's all fake, lol! The chandelier is acrylic, which is what makes it affordable. I'm not sure yet about how it will do with cleaning, as acrylic can show a lot of scratches from cleansers but we will see.
I not missing our old fan one bit--though maybe I will in the summer.
Anyway, I have yet to show the entire reveal of our dining room but it's coming soon. Just had to show off the gorgeous light!
