This is your new normal

As of this time, always at this time, (at night after I give Max his shot), I can't get back to sleep because I am filled with sadness. "This is your new normal" is what I hear all the time and am assured it will soon be easier and will eventually feel normal. I know it's only been a few days but I'm still waiting for what that feels like.
